You and the Trail

volunteer working

The success of the Gwynns Falls Trail Advocates as the volunteer partnership group for the Trail depends upon your financial contributions and service commitment.

To make a financial contribution

Financial contributions of $25 or more are welcome.

They enable the Gwynns Falls Trail Advocates to promote the use of the Trail, seek grant funding for special trail projects, maintain and web and social media presence, partner with and support community and park friends groups, and continue an active partnership role with the Department of Recreation and Parks and the Parks & People Foundation.

Checks should be made out to the Parks & People Foundation and designated to the Gwynns Falls Trail Advocates. They may be mailed to the Gwynns Falls Trail Advocates, care/of the Parks and People Foundation, 2100 Liberty Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21217.

(Parks & People Foundation is a Maryland corporation registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. A copy of our current financial statement is available upon request by contacting Parks & People Foundation, 2100 Liberty Heights Ave., Baltimore, MD 21217. In order to qualify for tax deduction, no goods or services can be provided in exchange for a donation.)

To Volunteer

Gwynns Falls Trail Advocates serve as team leaders for volunteer service activities coordinated by the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks.

Regular trail volunteer service is scheduled for the fourth Saturday morning of each month. They frequently involve litter and debris clean-up at sites along the trail.
