The only exhibition of its kind the greater Baltimore area, Art on the Trail is a unique exhibition of site specific artworks placed throughout a rare urban wilderness park environment. 22 artists from the region and along the east coast will participate in this year’s event bringing with them a wide range of mediums and techniques to create original artworks within the natural environment.

From subtle arrangements of living grasses, and ambient sound installations along a wooded corridor, to mirrors floating in the stream reflecting glimpses of the tree canopy above and colorful papier-mâché “Tree Punks” making their way through a patch of forest, this exhibition will have something for everyone to discover as you make your way through the park and experience it’s 150 year history.

6/20/07 Two Ways to Tour!
We are excited to announce two ways to take a self guided tour of the trail.

You can download and print a copy of our self guided brochure here, or you can download an audio podcast of the tour which was recorded and edited by artist Elsa Lankford. A podcast is an audio guide that can be downloaded to an MP3 player and listened to as you walk the exhibit. The podcast features interviews with some of the artists and descriptions of the work.
